The Black Lamb
This is a game like story that was created in Twine as an interactive fiction piece using hypertext. Considering I was never interested in gaming, being an aged individual, I am of the era where reading books was the “in thing”. Upon entering the work force after high school, then the military, my first encounter with anything somewhat computerized was a memory typewriter, which at this point in the 21st century is obsolete.
Initially, looking at the assignment and being faced with creating a game, it was an OMG moment, because I had never been interested in gaming and did not want to be consumed with something that was as time consuming as games can be.
Overcoming the fear of not being able to accomplish this task, I finally downloaded Twine, and was amazed to find it was not as difficult as I had imagined, being the over thinker that I am. It was not a walk in the park, per se, but I learned how the program worked as I went along. It took quite a while to come up with the finish product, but it was worth the time and effort to learn how to do something new.
